Setting sustainability standards

One Newman Street is a truly sustainable workplace, with multiple features that put the building head and shoulders above others.

Here, you’ll know that your business activities are powered by green energy, and that nothing is wasted, including the rainwater collected on the roof. The rich planting on the shared terrace is not only a stunning feature, it also helps to purify the city’s air.

Run on renewable energy

The building is powered by renewable energy only. This goes for when we were building it too. It’s clean energy only here.

PV solar panels

We have 8 panels on the roof that generate 2,454kWh per annum energy which feeds back into our building. This equates to 1% of our overall requirement. Every little helps.

Not too hot, not too cold

Design features such as the beautiful solar shading on the façade, well considered glazing spec and our VRF system means we need less power to keep the temperature just right.

Not a drop wasted

Water is collected from showers and basins and following treatment, is used for WC flushing. This saves 557,000 gallons of water a year – that’s nearly enough to fill an Olympic swimming pool.

Green and clean

Our biodiverse greening on the roof terrace is home to 93 species of plants and covers 220sq m. It’ll also do its bit to purify London’s air.
